The Jewish synagogue stands in Old Cairo, down town. 
Why was it built? 
It was one of the churches which belong to the hanging church it was bought by Rabbi Ibrahim Ben Ezra because the jews found some of the old testment pieces written on deer skin in the area and also believed that Moses was found in a basket close to that location

This Synagogue take the shape of a basilica (rectangle), consists of 2 floors, the 1st dedicated for the men while the 2nd dedicated?for the women, the entrance is situated on the north side. The synagogue has a safe place called by The Guenizah which was used for keeping Moses torah.
